Take
up
space.
In Quebec, we have six months a year to ride outdoors. Might as well make the most of it and be seen. Technical apparel made in Montreal, that screams Maglia Rosa and owns every kilometer.
On a bike, you have a rare opportunity to truly take up space. We think most people waste it.
The high-end cycling apparel market has converged in one direction: sober, streamlined, international, easily forgettable. Neutral color palettes, discreet logos, designs intended not to offend anyone. This is a consistent business strategy. It is also a missed opportunity.
In Quebec, we ride in one of North America's most cycling-friendly cities, through landscapes worth stopping for, and we have a cycling culture with its own energy. We have six months to enjoy it outdoors, sometimes less.
Maison Maglia Rosa stems from a conviction: when you get on your bike, you don't have to blend into the scenery. We want colors that are visible, designs that have an opinion, pieces that make people say "that's Maglia" from three hundred meters away.
Made in Montreal and Quebec with workshops we know, in limited quantities. We're starting small and seeing where it goes.
- Neutral palettes that offend no one
- Discreet logos on a grey background
- Designs that go unnoticed on the road
- Sobriety as a substitute for style
- Collections that could have come from anywhere
- Disappearing into the peloton
- Colors visible from three hundred meters away
- Designs with an opinion
- Maglia Rosa recognized on the road
- Made in Montreal, looks like Montreal
- Technical first, but never boring
- Taking up space, not apologizing for it
From merch
to a real brand
It's not a marketing decision. It's an accumulation of frustrations and desires.
It started with merch. T-shirts with a logo, ordered in bulk, sold at the counter. Decent, but nothing more.
We've always dressed our customers in brands we respected. None of these brands truly spoke about Montreal. Not about riding in slush in November and finding it perfectly normal. Not about the way we take cycling seriously here without taking ourselves too seriously.
Maison Maglia Rosa is about creating technical apparel with as much character as the people who wear it. We're starting small, with workshops we know. We'll see where it leads.
Technical Apparel
Made with people
who make
Maison Maglia Rosa doesn't produce alone. We work with Montreal workshops that have expertise and identity. Each collaboration is documented in La Chronique Rosa.
Local manufacturing is the non-negotiable starting point. We are looking for a workshop that understands the constraints of technical apparel and puts its name on what it produces.
Maison Maglia Rosa pieces will not look like generic bike shop t-shirts. We want design that makes a statement, signed by someone who understands the culture.
Collaborations are announced in La Chronique Rosa before they are available. Sign up for the newsletter to be among the first to know.
The first pieces
are coming.
Be there.
We announce new collections and collaborations via newsletter before anyone else. No spam, no empty marketing. Just the real news.
