Our approach
High-end cycling doesn't have to be intimidating. It should be well-made, well-built, and sold by someone who understands why it matters to you.
We're a team of passionate riders who opened a shop because we found that serious shops were rarely welcoming. The idea is that those two things shouldn't be mutually exclusive.
We work with brands that actually make what they sell, we build bikes component by component, and we take the time to understand what each customer is looking for before recommending anything.
Performance cycling shouldn't belong to a single kind of rider. Whether you've been riding for two years or twenty, you'll be received the same way here: with time, attention, and an honest recommendation.
We're rooted in Montréal, shaped by it, and we hope that shows in everything we do.

2014
A conversation between friends over coffee. The question: why can't a serious shop also be welcoming? Maglia Rosa was born from that — a name, a colour, a conviction.
The name
Maglia rosa — the pink jersey of the Giro d'Italia. A colour no one was using in Québec. A reference for those who recognize it, a curiosity for everyone else. Both worked perfectly.
COVID
We went through what everyone went through. Lost some things, rebuilt others. The shop changed in part — and in part stayed exactly what it always wanted to be.
Today
The shop we would have wanted to find when we started riding seriously. A team, an address in Rosemont, and a way of doing things that hasn't changed.

A well-fitted bike changes everything. Hervé handles that before we touch anything else. From first-time riders to seasoned racers, everyone benefits — it's the foundation of what we do.

We represent brands that make what they sell. We work with Montréal workshops that put their name on what they produce. We build bikes component by component. It's slow, intentional, and better for it.

The long-term relationship
We service what we build, and we follow how your riding evolves. Several of our clients have trusted us with two or three bikes over the years. That's the measure that counts for us.

No crashes. Mountain biking, gravel, and road. And at least one place in the world every cyclist dreams of riding.

No cars, out in nature, with friends. Starts with an espresso. Ends with a beer.

A hand-built titanium Guru Praemio R, made right here in Montréal. One I'll probably never sell.
A perfect season
Rain only at night. Tailwinds in the morning. Spontaneous and planned rides, pavement and gravel, lots of wooded trails.
The ideal ride
A road where respect comes naturally. Gentle rollers, trees, varied pavement, and scenery that makes you feel grateful.
The dream bike
It has to be beautiful — non-negotiable. Understated rather than flashy. And fit always wins: if I'm not comfortable on it, nothing else matters.
A perfect season
An early spring, friends free enough to go camping and finish a bottle of wine on a dock somewhere along the Rivière du Nord. The right balance of riding and celebrating summer.

An unpretentious 18-pound Marinoni. A beat-up pearl blue steel frame laced to custom wheels built by an old friend. A Dura Ace groupset salvaged from a Felt.

An English bike or a Colnago Master Light.

We're in Rosemont, a short ride from the Plateau. A space designed to feel comfortable, not intimidating — high-end bikes, a full workshop, and people who know how to give a real answer.

We're invested in Montréal cycling beyond what we sell.
We believe contributing to Montréal cycling is part of who we are. It takes different forms year to year, but the intention stays the same: making riding in Montréal a better experience for everyone.
