The René Herse Barlow Pass tire is the perfect fit for most mountain bikes. We name our tires after the Cascade Mountain passes that inspired them: Barlow Pass is near the ghost town of Monte Cristo in the northern Cascades. Our Barlow Pass is the ideal tire for rides that combine equal portions of pavement and gravel: light enough to keep your bike feeling as nimble as a road bike, yet 38mm wide to give you incredible traction on and off pavement. The Standard casing is our most affordable option: comfortable and fast, yet strong enough to withstand considerable abuse. The Extralight casing takes your bike's performance, comfort, and feel to a whole new level. The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while maintaining the speed and comfort that René Herse tires are known for.
