The new compound of the Continental Ultra Sport 3 Advanced tire, based on activated silica compounds, was originally designed as a performance-level compound. However, after intensive development at our Korbach R&D facility, a new advanced compound with exceptional grip and cross-country properties was developed. This new rubber compound, aptly named "PureGrip," is ranked just below our BlackChili compound and is used in our performance products for both road and mountain bikes. While offering excellent grip, it is also durable and highly resistant – two hallmarks of Continental tires, which are manufactured exclusively at our Hefei plant in Asia. Suitable for e-bikes: For our e-bike tire, we draw on over 100 years of experience with moped and motorcycle tires. All our city/touring tires are rated for a standard speed of at least 25 km/h. Tires marked e50 are also certified for S-Pedelecs. With their high-quality construction, they offer high puncture protection and low rolling resistance, providing protection against premature wear caused by the additional driving force.
