TRANSPORT YOUR BODY, NOT THE REST

In 2019, the Aspero took the gravel world by storm, heralding a "new era of speed in gravel." A bit of a stretch, but not over the top. The new Aspero stays true to its original brief, but with a few improvements: a threaded bottom bracket, cleaner cable routing, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger for those who want to use the new SRAM drivetrains. And it's more aerodynamic, of course. In the Aspero's case, aerodynamic performance isn't so much about pure speed thanks to reduced drag, but rather about energy conservation. After a long day riding into a headwind, the three watts saved compared to the previous Aspero can mean one less energy gel for your stomach to digest—it's worth it.

In addition to reducing drag, we've also lowered the seat stays to give the rear a bit more compliance and slightly reduced the front end stiffness to make the final hours of a long race less painful. Between these lowered seat stays, we've added a bit more mud-clearing space, taking lessons learned from the R5-CX (and the mud festival at Unbound in 2023). It's a lot of seemingly minor improvements, but they add up. The result is a bike that feels very much like the original Aspero, but is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.

T47 BOTTOM BRACKET
The Áspero uses a threaded T47a asymmetric bottom bracket that we first introduced on the R5-CX. It's a simple and effective solution that allows for home maintenance and offers the advantages of BBRight in a more user-friendly form.

SRAM UDH UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANG
We used SRAM's standard Universal Downward Suspension (UDH) derailleur hanger on the new Aspero. This allows compatibility with the new SRAM drivetrains recently released on the market and, most importantly, ensures compatibility with future developments.

AN EASILY ADAPTABLE COCKPIT
The Áspero shares the same bearings as the R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia, meaning you can use any combination of headset and stem. Want a super-racer look with fully integrated cable routing? You can use the ST31 and HB13 models from the R5.
